Don McGregor:
Don has many years of coaching and wrestling experience. Don came to RB by way of Gross School in Brookfield, where he was a varsity wrestler and team captain. While wrestling at RB Don was a conference champion, holding a 7-0 record in the conference, with 6 wins coming by pin. He was the champion at the majority of the tournaments that the team attended in his varsity season. Don is proud to have led his team to a regional title and he captured a regional title himself at 160 pounds; one of the hardest weight classes in the state.
After High school Don went on to wrestle at the collegiate level. Despite being recruited by the wrestling programs of many schools, including a Division 1 wrestling program, Don decided to stay close to home and to continue his wrestling career and education near his home and his family.
Some of Don’s impressive credentials include obtaining his American Sport Education Certification, his Illinois High School Association Coaching Certification and his USA Coaching Certification. Don is a physical education major, with an emphasis on coaching as well as health and fitness. Don has a natural love for coaching and is looking forward to giving back to his home community with his wrestling and coaching knowledge and expertise.
