The BWC feels that it is important to show our appreciation and support for our fighting men and women throughout the world. With this goal in mind, we are collecting food, toiletries, books and magazines for the troops, and kids items (to give out to local children in war-torn areas). These will be shipped to units in which a BWC family member is currently serving, for distribution to the service person's fellow fighters, as well as handed out in the region where they are serving as a way to build good will towards our troops.
We are seeking NON-PERISHABLE items that can withstand a long trip into unfavorable climates, so glass or plastic jars and chocolate are out. Things like Beef Jerky, Spam, soups, and powdered drink mixes are always appreciated by the troops, as well as things like children's coloring books and crayons and individually-wrapped candy treats, which the local children love.
Any video games, music CD's, magazines or books are also welcome additions to any care packages we send over. Please bring items to our practice sessions, where family members will take care of the rest of the arrangements.
This is a great way to show your thanks and support in a very tangible way to those who give so much to protect our way of life. Please help out in any way you can!
